I'm a little late on updating the progress of this painting... okay, my blogging in general has sucked recently. But at long last here is the finished painting. As I stated in the last post about this painting,I
wasn’t happy with some of the background color and the
acrylic in that area was beginning to feel a little heavy to me. So I used Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground,
to cover the area on the right hand side of the painting. I am happy with the way the ground accepted fresh watercolor paint. I have since used the watercolor ground in other situations in other paintings and I can recommend it highly. It definitely made a difference in the outcome of this painting.
